INTRODUCTION

Longchamp USA, Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our”) recognizes the importance of providing a website that is inclusive and available for all user groups. This page is a user guide for our website and any related content, features, functionality, and applications

This page explains:

  • Our approach to making this website accessible to all customers and users of our site;
  • The features provided to enhance the website’s accessibility;
  • What to do if you have any questions or feedback for us.

Web accessibility means that people with disabilities can use internet websites, online applications, and other digital platforms and content. More specifically, web accessibility means that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, interact with, and contribute to online content. Web accessibility encompasses all disabilities that affect access to and use of the web, including visual, auditory, and physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

We understand that individuals with varying disabilities may seek information on our website, and it is our goal to provide such individuals access to the content, features and functionality available through our website. While we are making progress, we recognize that some content, features or functions may not be available, or not for all devices and programs. We strive to meet the objectives under the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA standards.

APPROACH

This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. The site displays correctly in current browsers and using standards compliant HTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly. While this website strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility. In the meantime should you experience any difficulty in accessing this website, please don’t hesitate to contact us, as described below.

Below are some tips that may be helpful when accessing our website.

We recommend using current versions of the manufacturer’s assistive technology applications, along with the current version of your computer or mobile device operating system and browser of choice. We also advise experimenting with different types of browsers and assistive technology applications to determine which combination works best for you.

We support screen magnification technologies and accessibility features – like zoom, color and other image controls – that major browsers and computer or mobile device operating systems provide.

SITE LAYOUT

MAIN NAVIGATION BAR

The website is divided into one or more sections, each accessible from the main navigation bar. There are currently five (5) sections as denoted below:

  • Women
  • Men
  • Le Pliage
  • Personalization
  • Maison Longchamp

OTHER MEANS OF NAVIGATION

  • A menu on the top left of the page, Find a Store linking to the store locator.
  • A menu on the top right of the page to access the Search Bar and linking to Account and Cart.

HEADER NAVIGATION

  • The level 1 header is the main site’s header.
  • The level 2 header links to product categories.

Header navigation is supported by the majority of assistive technologies and browsers. Most screen readers provide a feature to jump to the next header.

KEYBOARD NAVIGATION FOR INTERACTIVE COMPONENTS

Some components of the site use JavaScript technology. The structures of these components are scheduled to be adapted for keyboard navigation in compliance with international recommendations. Users of screen readers should access these components in form mode (or activate form mode when viewing them) to utilize their predictive function.

ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES

KEYBOARD ACCESS

We have provided “skip to main content” links to allow direct access to the navigation menu or to the page’s main content.

SIZE AND APPEARANCE OF TEXT AND OTHER CONTENT

You can vary the text size by using your browser’s text resize option: View – Text Size or Zoom in/ out.

In some versions for a PC, you can adjust the zoom level by holding the “Ctrl” key and pressing the “+” or “-” keys. Additionally, you can control the level of zoom by using the slider in the lower right corner of the browser.

In some versions for a Mac, you can adjust the zoom level by holding the “Command” key and pressing the “+” or “-” keys. Additionally, you can control the level of zoom by using the slider in the lower right corner of the browser.

Adjusting colors: Two common techniques for changing the display of colors are settings that adjust text, background and link colors and a setting to “ignore colors.” You may need to use both techniques

TEXT EQUIVALENTS

People who either can't see images or hear audio may need some form of a text equivalent to interact with our sites. We’re working to ensure all of our images and multimedia are fully accessible through alternative text.

HEADING ELEMENT

HTML heading elements have been used to represent page structure, supporting assistive technologies that allow page navigation from heading to heading.

LINK TEXT

Hyperlinks should make sense when read out of context, and most of the hyperlinks are clearly presented in a different text style from normal body text.

STYLE SHEETS

We have used Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to control the presentation of pages and have used properly structured markup for content. If style sheets are not supported or are turned off, information on the site can still be accessed and read.
